Early Life: Bruno Mars’ real name is Peter Gene Hernandez. He was born on October 8, 1985. His family was very musical. His dad whose name was also, Peter Hernandez was a Latino (Puerto Rican) drummer and his mom, Bernadette San Pedro Bayot, she sang and is from Philippines. His aunt and uncles from both sides played instruments and sang. As he was growing up, his family preformed a Las Vegas style show with throwback songs and celebrity impersonations in Waikiki, Hawaii. Bruno was always around instruments; for example: drums, piano, and guitar. By the age of 2 he joined his uncles who did Elvis impersonations at the show; later on impersonated Michael Jackson.
