Peter Gene Hernandez, better Known as Bruno Mars, he is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, voice actor and choreographer. Before he became one of the best singes of this generation, he was a normal kid who was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii with an entire family of musicians. His father, Peter Hernandez, was a Latin percussionist from Brooklyn, and his mother, Bernadette San Pedro Bayot, was a singer.

After he attended Roosevelt High School in Honolulu where he and some of his friends put together a band. He also got to perform classic hits with his family. After he graduated from High School, he decide to leave Hawaii and moved to Los Angeles, California.
His first year in Los Angeles was not easy, He struggled to make a breakthrough in the music industry. He got frustrated because he was feeling like his career was not moving forward. At this point in his life he decided to start writing some music because he had so much free time, so he became a songwriter. After he wrote some music, he decided to walk into a random record company and give the producer the song he wrote. The producer told him that he had to write a song that the world would listen to. At that point he realized that his music career would not be easy.
Career Breakthrough
Bruno Mars felt depressed because he moved to a place where he did not know anyone. He met a friend who introduced Bruno to songwriter Phillip Lawrence. Bruno gave his song to Phillip and together they recorded it and gave the song to a record label. The label liked the song but they wanted one their perform the song. In 2006, Lawrence introduced Bruno to the person who became Bruno 's A&R manager at Atlantic Records, Aaron Bay-Schuck. After he heard Bruno singing a couple of songs just with a guitar, Bay-Schuck wanted to sign him but Bruno did not sign immediately. Atlantic Records had to wait three years for Bruno to decide if he was going to sign the contract.
After many years of serving as B.o.B and Travis McCoy 's back up singer. On July 19, 2010, Bruno finally decided to release his first single called "Just The Way You Are," The song was the lead single from his debut studio album called "Doo-Wops and Hooligans. That song got on the top Billboard hot 100. After he was discovered by the people, his songs became more and more successful. He released more songs that put him on almost every top lists of favorite song. He also got the opportunity to compose and sing a song for a movie called "It Will Rain" for the movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking
