SHREVE — Changes are coming to the village’s leadership as the mayor resigned effective Monday and the administrator is leaving May 30.
Bruce Biggs submitted his resignation letter Monday at the village hall, effective as of noon. And, Administrator Kim Arwood will be resigning May 30.
The Daily Record left messages with Biggs and Arwood seeking comments, but those calls were not immediately returned. A public records request was made Wednesday morning for the resignation letters, and copies were not received by early Monday evening.
In light of Biggs’ resignation, President Yvonne Hendershott became mayor and was sworn in at Monday’s council meeting.
Biggs was re-elected in November and began a four-year term this year. Because more than half
