In recent years, the social media networking has increased boomingly, which puts customers at the center of the organizations and inspires marketers to deploy a set of new instruments to listen to them and to engage them to interact with the brand (Chahal & Khanna, 2016). In this context, organizations that fail to follow the latest trend and grasp the business opportunity provided by social media are concerned to be laggard. Especially, the social media has high penetration rate among the younger generation. As shown in Figure 1, it can be seen that half of Facebook users belong the age group of 15-34. In near future, with the aging population, the social media will cover and influence a wider group of population in the UK. Thus, it is urgent for businesses to make better use of social media to interact with the younger generation. …show more content…
It is currently planning a new e-commerce website called Brubarb with the aim to achieve organic growth in the medium term, to retain current customers and to target the younger markets. The Brubarb is built on the Magento platform in which the current Shop4Home Brew website will be superimposed onto a new fresher and younger looking front end. This style is catering to the tastes of younger audiences. This report is to explore the background of Harris Filters and then provide suggestions about how to develop their marketing activities to achieve the new expansion
