Today I started by washing my hands so I can become more white to please the Brothers. Before anyone could sit down to eat, I had to do one of my many chores and the first was washing the tables and then to set the tables with the necessary utensils. Our breakfast was the same meal everyday of porridge and I watch some of the new kids eat and they refused after the second spoonful. During English a young boy started to speak in his native tongue to his cousin, had gotten in trouble from Brother Mark and so he called Brother Mark, a filthy white man. I didn’t learn anything during that class due to Brother Mark punishing this kid. When we finally had recess my friend kicked the ball behind some shrubs, where I proceeded to find a secret garden
