Brother Bear Mood

Improved Essays
The setting of Brother Bear takes place right after the Ice Age in Alaska. Mountains, glaciers, forests, and plains cover the whole scenery. Whereas, after animals and people die, they take the place as spirits in the sky with the Northern Lights. Throughout the story, the mood tends to change. For example, the mood changes from happy to sad in less than a day. Kenai went from happy, to excited, to disappointed, then determined, then to grief in less than twenty minutes. The main moods for the movie would probably have to be happy and sad.
There are multiple important characters in Brother Bear, however, the three I would choose would be: Kenai, Koda, and Sitka. Kenai is the main character in the story who gets turned into a bear by Sitka to be taught a lesson. After Kenai is turned into a bear, he meets Koda. Koda is very talkative and a very cheerful bear cub. The more time Koda and Kenai spend together, the more brotherly relationship they are making. There would not even be a story without Sitka. At the beginning of the movie, Sitka gave his life to protect his brothers. He turns into a spirit who takes the form of an eagle. Sitka then turns Kenai into a bear to teach him revenge is never the answer.

Kenai then begins to travel, that is until he gets tied up. Koda, the bear cub, finds him and helps him get down. Kenai allows Koda to travel with him since Koda was ‘separated’ from this mother. The two make it to the ‘Salmon Run,’ which is super close to the mountains, this is where Koda thinks he is going to meet up with his mom. When Kenai is talking with the other bears, Koda begins to tell a story about his mother being separated from him. Kenai then realizes that the bear he killed was Koda’s mom and that she was never going to meet him at the Salmon

Opposition is Just an Idea “The Bear” written by William Faulkner is a short story told through the eyes of the main character, Isaac “Ike” McCaslin. The short story portrays how “Ike’s childhood is structured on the promise and then the reality, of the participating in the autumnal hunt in the big woods” ultimately to capture the bear named Old Ben (Anna Priddy Go Down, Moses). Through symbolism, characterization, and imagery, William Faulkner proves that one should not let opposing views alter his thinking. Within “The Bear,” Faulkner uses symbolism to show how Ike has grown as a character and how he does not let the views of others change what he believes.…
