Broken Teeth Research Paper

Squish and giggles are the ever enticing sounds of childhood. Luckily my childhood was unexpectedly broadened because I could squeeze buttery mashed potatoes out of my congenitally missing teeth until the age of thirteen. Besides the fact that I looked like a rabid dog exerting unidentified foam from its mouth, no one could take away the enjoyment that comes with being silly. Two percent of the population are missing one or both of the maxillary lateral incisors, the teeth beside the two front teeth. According to my dentist, I am ahead of my time because our teeth are evolving, and in the future no one will have maxillary lateral incisors. However, I dreamed to be like every teenage girl after her braces were removed, unveiling a beautiful smile to accompany her post-pubescent development. Adulthood offers a new beginning; therefore, just as I am determined to prevent a broken tooth from reestablishing a gap in my mouth, I am serious about not returning to my insecurities of childhood. Finding humor in the challenges with my teeth is exactly how I intend to face all obstacles that arise. Consequently, my bridge should never serve as an outlet for people to abase me; it is a reminder that I must face and overcome hardships as I transition from a teenager into an adult. I will be sure to taste every opportunity that emerges, and I can guarantee no experience will be squirted out of my bygone gaps. I admit there are moments when I will miss my childhood or need some silliness in the future; therefore, I am lucky that I can simply graze my fraudulent teeth with my tongue and re-taste life as a child because growing up does not mean you have to leave all the merriment
