In the year of 2004, I fell off the steps of a slide from 12 feet, and broke my arm. I can officially say that I don’t have superpowers and cannot fly. I was 6 years old when this event took place, I remember climbing up the steps with the sun in my face. I put one foot on the step, slowly followed by another. The line for the slide seemed unending, I grew tired of waiting alike many other people. Before, I headed out to the playground the teacher talked to the class about being careful on the slides. She also spoke to us about being kind to one another since she heard there was some problem with pushing within the lines. I listened to what she said, and went on my way to the playground. I swung on the swings for a bit, then I crawled through …show more content…
Not only did I fall, but I also managed to somehow get into fire ants that was already on the concrete slab. Two of my classmates that were on the swings ran to my aid and helped carry me to the front office since a teacher wasn’t out there. I don’t really think I knew that my left arm was broken I just remember the pain. In the front office, the school called my mom and told her what happened. My mom took off work to come get me, from there she took me to the ER. The ER doctor in Tallulah, told us there was an Orthopedic doctor in Vicksburg that he thought could help us. We then went to the Orthopedic doctor name Dr. Dare, he saw us immediately and looked at my arm. At first, he wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to do anything that day. My mom insisted that something was done, and Dr. Dare came up with a solution. Dr. Dare’s solution was to have me take some pain medicine. About 30 minutes after I took the medicine, the Doctor came back. Dr. Dare said that he was going to set my arm back in place since it was a clean break. Getting my arm set back in place hurt bad, afterwards he told me I’d still need a cast. My parents and I, went to get my cast put

This story begins on a hot, summer Sunday on a neighborhood playground in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida when I was a kindergartener. The playground had one item that I liked the most which was a thing that you would hold onto then someone would push you across ten feet while your feet were hanging down. My dad came up to push me and might have pushed me a little too hard. When I got to the end of the line there was a rubber block that stops you very abruptly. Due to inertia, I was flung off of the handle over the rail, then did some crazy acrobatics in the air, Finally I landed right on top of my left wrist.…
