The reason I say the Broca’s Area is because the Broca’s Area is the area in the brain that is responsible for production of words and speech. If I gave up that area in my brain, I just wouldn’t be able to speak. I would still be able to understand what others are telling me but I wouldn't be able to communicate back with words. My life would be different because I would have to communicate differently with others than I’m used too.…

The function of the Hippocampus involves long-term storage, which is a key substance during a party. While eating pizza, the first thing you need to have embedded in your mind are the functions on how to eat, which is one component stored inside of your Hippocampus. During socializing, you have to remember past occurrences and even stories to tell one another during the concurrent talks. The Hippocampus also keeps track of many important features that keep you running, such as remembering important events. Finally, during the friendly card game, you have to remember how the others react to certain cards or even how you yourself should act in a friendly card game.…

However, as I eat pizza, socialize, and play cards, I am primarily using the hippocampus and hypothalamus parts of my brain. To begin with, the hippocampus is located within the medial temporal lobe on each side of the brain. The hippocampus plays a role in our learning memory, and ability to compare sensory information to expectations. For example, as I am socializing, I am listening to my friends conversations and the information I collect from them is sent through the neural pathways and processed in my brain which allows me to understand what they are talking to them. Also, I may join in the conversation and talk about past experiences or topics I may recall from my memory.…

This area of the brain helps us learn as well. Comment: Indeed, the amygdala could possibly have potential relevance to synchrony since the amygdala can help us sense sudden joy in someone’s expression through the use of mirror neurons. In addition, I can see a connection with attunement as well since can in a sense, develop our own mental simulation of what someone is thinking through the amygdala. Definition: The brain stem is the portion of the brain that controls activity in the body that acts automatically, such as breathing, blood pressure, heart rate, digestion, perspiration, temperature, sleep, balance and heart rate. Comment: The fact that self-presentation requires the ability to give effective presentations illustrates to me that the brain stem has a potential influence on making a good impression.…

The parts of the brain impacted by dementia are frontal cortex, temporal cortex, parietal cortex, hippocampus, and amygdala. Frontal and temporal cortex are the areas that control personality, behavior, and language. The hippocampus is responsible for helping form new memories, and amygdala is responsible for the emotional response. Damages in these areas are what cause individuals with dementia to lose their words, forget where they put things, show a change in personality and emotional responses. There is no cure for dementia, but there are some medications that may help slow the process of the disease.…
