In the article you stated, it’s not about race, but it’s about gender. Me personally, I believe if it was a female judge, he wouldn’t have gotten away with it that easily. All of the other articles about this case spoke heavily on what he has to go through, but not once said what his accuser has to go through. For instance, like the case with Nate Parker was accused of raping an unconscious woman in 2001, she committed suicide because she as dealing with an emotional fallout from the case. The only reason he didn’t serve time is because he had sexual relations with her before. That too could happen to Turner’s accuser. Statistically, women are sexually assaulted by someone they know. If you know someone you will more than likely let them into your house. Due to the fact she knew him, he didn’t have to watch her every move to find the right time because he knew more than likely she would let him into her home. They should definitely put more interest in gaining the females lives back especially since she had to find out what happened to her from a daily newspaper. Experiencing something like that will tear a girl up emotionally and maybe never
