Brittney: Drop Dead Nudity

Improved Essays
Everybody has that one friend, let's call her “Brittney”, who is drop dead gorgeous and knows it. She receives a lot of male intent because of her breathtaking looks, and indulges herself in the fact that any guy would crawl on their knees for her. Although her life seems flawless, Brittney has a personal problem. The split second she becomes associated with any guy, she turns into a complete, outright moron. “Brittney” acts like a sheer ditz, and dumbs herself down, for sense unbeknownst to me. Recently, I have recognized a significant number of girls just like “Brittney”, purposely portraying idiots in the hopes of landing their new sweetheart. They twirl their hair, loudly proclaim the simple things they struggle with, whine, and giggle …show more content…
And then you have the sketchy, other part of those men. These men just want to get away with more because their judgment shows that if they have a stupid girlfriend, then she will be none the wiser to his nonsense. Generally it contributes to men's protective instinct, flattering their ego because it gives them the convenience of stepping in and coming to the beautiful girl's rescue regularly. Realistically speaking though, are the men that are attracted to stupid girls even men? I would debate that a real man would much rather go for a literate, read, woman he can visualize a bright future with ; A significant other that can test him emotionally, as well as mentally, and can stand her ground by strongly expressing her opinion. The man every girl looks for isn't going to settle for an illiterate pretty face that comes a dime a dozen, but rather a bright light in the …show more content…
I'm not even suggesting her to change her flirting technique. But if some girls that categorize themselves as a “Brittney”,are looking for results, pretending to be something or someone you're not is an effective way to get there. The right guy will like you for who you are, understand your worth, and know that you're not just a pretty face laughing to look cute, but genuinely laughing because you think his joke is funny. In order for someone to love you, you first have to love yourself. Nobody is worth changing yourself for. People will come and go, but yourself, and in certain cases your spouse, will have to live with yourself your whole life, so you might as well make sure the both of you like who you are. Changing yourself for a guy will only end in two different ways. You could come off as fake and uncomfortable, or he starts to love the ‘new you’ because it fits into everything he wants, and you now have to live with the changes you've made and most likely giving up the things you love and everything that makes you, you. Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde“ was the preppy girl in pink that did the ever so popular “bend and snap” and had her fair share of blonde moments, but do viewers see her as just another “dumb blonde” who did everything she could to bring herself down to give her boyfriend an advantage of intelligence or do they see her as the intelligent women who went to law school, succeeded, graduated at the top of her

Macduff becomes angry and stops mourning and starts thinking about fighting Macbeth. His masculine role returns and he is willing to fight to the death in order to bring justice to his family. Many could argue that the character’s in this play strictly stick with their socially acceptable gender roles. They could say that Lady Macbeth was just simply “acting in the moment”, therefore her gender shouldn’t be questioned in that particular scene.…

By now, we have all heard of the term “slut-shaming,” a phrase that has traveled across many college campuses in the last couple years. Slut shaming is a process in which women are denigrated for various reasons with the leading motive being the way females dress. The assumption that what you wear can lead to rape – that clothes can speak for women who say no – are ludicrous and extremely harmful. We need to spread awareness in regards to the damaging effects slut shaming can cause. Girls are often left with a sense of deep humiliation, shame, embarrassment, worthlessness and pain.…

With any good relationship between two people, proper communication is the key to respecting one another and creating a solid structure for a long-lasting connection. Communication can make someone feel wanted, secure, and provide them with a sense of happiness in life. On the other hand, a lack of communication between individuals can cause a feeling of loneliness in someone and typically leads to the termination of a relationship. The issue of improper communication can be present with two females or two males, however, it most commonly exists between females and males. This likely happens because some males tend to engage interest in women for their looks, rather than their personalities.…

We have all seen her, and perhaps we have all been her. She’s the girl on Instagram who has it all together—she’s smiling in every picture, and her hair is always on point. She’s the epitome of perfection to the naked eye. We see the shallow, happy days of her life, when things are going well— when she and her boyfriend are on great terms and he’s decided to finally treat her right.…

In magazines aimed at the general population, including Sports Illustrated and Vanity Fair, women are oversexualized with provocative slogans, little to no clothing, and electronically edited photos. This creates an apparent distinction between what the media reinforces as the ideal woman and what women really look like. Here, a phenomenon called the feminine beauty ideal arises. The feminine beauty ideal is "the socially constructed notion that physical attractiveness is one of women 's most important assets, and something all women should strive to achieve and maintain." (Spade 3)…

Every day I get guys that want to get my number wanting to chill and hang out because they either seen me in person or a picture of me. Out of the 7 guys that wanted to get my number 5 of them hit my phone up because they want more than a conversation. Being known as the girl from New York that is thick with no boyfriend guys have an assumption that I would like to mess with them. It’s sad that this society downgrades us females. The first false feminist assumption is in their crazy heads, they have concocted a fantasy land of oppression, where men are going out of their way to treat women like objects out of some sense of personal hatred or vendetta towards them or because they are scared of commitment.…

I will be evaluating the character of Sheila Mant; she is self-indulgent and rude. First, she only talks about herself and how somebody said she should be a model. That is very self-indulgent because when you talk about how somebody said you should be a model it is like saying that you are the prettiest. It is selfish and cocky to say how somebody else thinks you are beautiful when you are on a date.…

Butterflies and I have always shared a special connection. In a sense, one could say that a butterfly was my spirit animal or a physical manifestation of my personality. When thinking of a butterfly the words graceful, majestic, and free come to mind; yet, no one ever applies these same adjectives to a caterpillar before its transformation. Because let’s face it, what is a butterfly without its wings? In the short story “Day of the Butterfly” by Alice Munro, the narrator Helen befriends Myra Sayla, and outsider among their sixth-grade class.…

When it comes to understanding relationships, what men want from women has always been a popular question. It's no secret that the sexes don't always have a clue about what the other gender wants or needs. It's helpful though, in your own personal relationship, if you can gain insight into what your potential partner or current partner finds desirable. For women we often get caught up in thinking that we have to look or act in a very specific way to grab and keep a man's attention. Once you really understand what men find truly compelling in a partner, you'll see that transforming yourself into something you're not isn't the way to go.…

I decided to research gender stereotypes after studying “Pretty Hurts” by Beyonce. The writer raises the issue of how the media tells young women how to act and look if they want to be seen as “perfect”. This made me think about how girls all over the world are constantly trying to be seen as “perfect” and the lengths they go to better themselves. To find out more about how this applies to the real world, I decided to do my research report on this. My hypothesis is: “In today 's society woman are only judged by appearance, not by brains or personality”.…
