In fact, there are many just like her and they have been imprisoned for their defects for years. The more she learns, the more she wonders who she can trust. It’s becoming harder to tell if it’s the perfected or the defective who’s the enemy—or what side she belongs on. Now, Brinya finds herself in an even bigger dilemma. She can do what she needs to pass her tests and continue forward living with the lies that keep her safe, or let her heart overturn any chance of remaining subdued when it comes to discovering the truth that could free those flawed like her.
