The system teaches undergraduates to appreciate the way they look and take pride in their appearance. People of the Culinary Arts College are often told that the uniforms should be sharp because they are a representation of the individual and how one feels about oneself and the opportunity to be at the University. The expectations for clean and pressed uniforms also creates a theme of professionalism among the student body and sets the tone for future career opportunities. A uniform or any type of attire is always first to be noticed, and the object of judgment of an individual.
