Bright Time Buddies Pros And Cons

Decent Essays
Bright Time Buddies are small, light up animals designed to help children who are afraid of the dark. My two girls saw these on tv and just had to have them, so I immediately ordered one for each of them.

There was a buy one get one free deal for buying from the official website, so this made it an even better deal and allowed me to get an extra one for free.

While my girls aren't afraid of the dark, they found these really helpful when they woke up and needed to use the bathroom, or for reading before falling asleep.

Bright Time Buddies have a soft glow that doesn't interfere with their ability to fall asleep, yet is bright enough that my six year old can read with the lights off and either of them can find their way to the bathroom without

Pros and Cons

Everything has its pros and cons, but to be honest, there wasn't much I could find that I didn't like about Bright Time Buddies. On the other hand, there were a lot of pros.

Here's what I got so far:

Pros

Soft, squishable body. Great for if your child wants to sleep with their Bright Time Buddy like mine do.
Available in six different styles so your child can have their favorite animal.
Soft glow allows your child to fall asleep with their Bright Time Buddy on.
Turns on by pressing on the top of its head: no having to fumble with a tiny switch in the dark.
Has variable settings: light changing colors between blue, yellow, and green or can glow one constant color of your choice.
Cons

I do kind of wish they cycled through more colors instead of just the 3. I think it'd be cool if they could also glow red, orange, pink, or purple instead of just yellow, blue, and green. I understand the reasoning is because they want to keep the lights more "soft", but still, more colors would be great in my

Usually the first thing we would have to get used to is the darkness…” Just like a human in a bees nest would have to adjust to the darkness, lily has to adjust to the situation of living with total strangers. The best way for someone the size of a bee to live in the darkness is to learn how to communicate with the bees.…

‘The Dark’ is a picture book written by Lemony Snicket and illustrated by Jon Klassen that centres around the two themes of fear and imagination. The main idea of this book is to demonstrate that in order to overcome fears, we have to use our imagination. The book shows the importance of overcoming your fears and not being afraid to try something new. Picture books are important as they help us connect with what we observe and how we link concepts with words. The book tells the tale of the protagonist - a young boy named Laszlo - who is afraid of the dark.…

Dead Again uses different lighting techniques to create dramatic contrast and a sense of mood in each scene. This is highlighted through the film noir scenes when dramatic high contrast was achieved by using two extremes of lighting, a lack of light and a heavy amount of light. This was especially shown in the opening interrogation scene. During the scene the light in the room was the only light source present and everything else was in complete darkness. In the scene the contrast was so strong that in order to be visible the actor playing Roman Strauss had to lean forward into the light source.…
