Your life has purpose, your story is important, your dreams count, your voice matters, you were born to make an impact. The main theme in the short story The Most Dangerous Game written and published by Richard Connell is that all things considered life or living is to be respected and sustained. The proof for this the main character Rainsford is at first cruel and disrespectful to animals by hunting them. Later Rainsford is ruthlessly dropped into the animal's role in a twisted blood curdling hunt; due to that Rainsford uses the horror he went through to have much more respect for life in general. To back this claim in the end Rainsford defeats General Zaroff the ruthless man, who has zero respect for human and animal life.
