In the story, “The Most Dangerous game” written by Richard Connell, Rainsford was a famous hunter on a boat to the Caribbean to hunt. Late into the night he fell off the boat into the water. Hearing a gunshot, he swam to an island where he found a house the belonged to general Zaroff. General that night Rainsford found out about Zaroff’s favorite hobby, hunting human's. Rainsford immediately wanted off the island, but the general would not let him go until they had a chance to hunt. Rainsford agreed to this so he could have a chance to get off the terrifying island. He had three days to survive in this jungle infest island while being hunted by Zaroff. After surviving two days on the third General Zaroff cornered Rainsford so he had no choice
