Mere Christianity Summary In the law of human nature fair play is expected of humans and differ from the laws of gravity or stop signs. Individuals arguing show that all people hold this “law” deep in their hearts. The law of nature is the difference between what is right and what is wrong. Which is mans variation between right and wrong. “This law was called the Law of Nature because people thought that everyone knew it and did not need to be taught it”(18). Lewis relates the law to how we treat other people everyday. In moral law we are beings of logic and habit. Lewis believes that moral law is not taught to us, rather it is know to us by instinct. Lewis believes law is real. Lewis states that the law is our behaviors in life which is good and bad. “There is something above and beyond the ordinary facts of men’s behavior”(30). Lewis considers the materialistic speculation of creation, that matter has always been around and the conception of man happened out of nowhere. Lewis also has a religious view. This view explains, “what is behind the universe is more like a mind then it is anything else we know”(32). Lewis wants mankind to reconsider because he feels that man is on the wrong path. Lewis feels that people should believe in God as the Supreme Being from which the law is set on. There are a lot of people who reject Christian teachings due to the fact that it is not very easy to understand. Lewis believes that a religion with real proof of God would be simple. Lewis also leads on to explain dualism. “ Dualism is the belief that there are two equal and independent powers at the back of everything, one of them is good and the other bad, and that the universe is a battlefield in which they fight out an endless
