What’s the point of bullying? To feel better? Listen you’ll never feel any better if the only thing you know is to make the others suffer. I was bullied for the littlest things all the time. The story Red Roses relates to my life because Lila was being teased/bullied for getting gifts from this boy that liked her, I was being teased for my lazy eye or how I acted. People would tease me for my lazy eye like the girls would tease Lila for Derek liking her. Lila’s friend would laugh at her because Derek would put little gifts in her locker every day. People would always bully me for my lazy eye of how it would move all of the sudden and say how ugly it was and how ugly I am. One day at lunch Derek came up to Lila and gave her 12 roses but she yelled at him and didn’t take them. …show more content…
In Red Roses, the friends of Lila would not stand up for her because they were the ones that were making fun of her. My friends, on the other hand, would stand up for me because they knew it would hurt me when people say stuff like that about me. Lila would stand up for herself because no one else would and she knew she would have to stand up for herself some time in life. When someone would say something like that to me I would say something back and then my friends say what was happening so they would come in and help me and make me feel better. Even though Lila would stand up for her friends if someone did that to them, her friends wouldn’t stand up for her or stop when she has asked them multiple times. Now even though her friends were probably teasing her Lila still took it as them bullying

Bullying happens when children and adults use force to tease, torment, and embarrass the people they are targeting. Bullies will target their victims because they are smarter, or because the bully feels threatened by the others who are smarter. If there is someone who feels threatened by someone then they should talk to an adult about it, or deal with it in a peaceful way. Because it obviously isn’t a nice thing to do by harming people since there is a problem in your life. The Romance of the Rose was one of the most popular late medieval texts, it was very widely distributed. However, if all of the other sources for that time period disappeared or were never found, the story could tell us much about the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries. By thoroughly reading the text one can glean that during the time this text was widespread the pursual of a mate was extremely important, both for inheritance practices and for additional satisfaction. Additionally, one can tell from the text that there was tension between the laity and the religious orders and that the people of the time had access to Greek and Roman texts as well as ready access to the Bible.
