Brief Summary Of The Short Story 'Popular Mechanics'

In the short story, Popular Mechanics, the audience is introduced into a suburban neighborhood during the winter time. It was getting dark and gloomy outside and starts to linger into the home of the couple. The man begins to pack up all of his belongings has the woman starts to taunt him about how he is leaving. She picks up the picture of their baby, carries it out of the room leaving the man with just his suitcase and an empty room. He then walks into the heart of the home, the kitchen, and demands for his child from it’s mother. As tensions rolls deeper the couple begin to become more aggressive with their gestures and start to grab hold of the child. The argument took a turn for the worst as the audience is just left with the couple
