The movie Bobby was portrayed on the Presidential election campaign, racism and assassination of Senator Robert F Kennedy. In 1968, Kennedy and some other candidates campaigned for their party’s nomination in the 1968 election. As he was visiting many parts of the USA for campaigning, he visited Los Angeles, California, where he was shot at the Ambassador Hotel after one of his campaigning speech to Americans. Including the senator many people were also severely injured. This moment scared and greatly impacted the American society. When a person is on intoxicated their mind are lost, they don’t know what they are doing. Considering todays time, we see many young individuals are addicted towards it. One of the statement I see in the textbook which directly relates to the above statement is “drugs such as marijuana and amphetamines organize crime and bad amphetamines organize crime and bad drugs addiction which took their toll” (832). To another evidence in terms of how historical evidence of how society is turning “an ephemeral community of sex, drugs, and rock roll” (832). So, I think these should be banned and especially individual under maturity age.
In total considering scenes clearly viewed describing the 1960s scenes historical period. Major part of the film depicting 1960s are the racism has declined to large scale after Civil rights movements. Lastly the film succeeds in depicting the attitudes that people had towards different races by depicting the social interactions of workers of various races, also the drug usage by showing how easy it was for anyone of any field or social status to obtain drugs from any individual.
