Scazzero writes about creating space for heart preparations. This concept is new to me. In my past experiences in planning and decision-making, I would brain storm and seek God to bless what I was planning for His work. The information that Scazzero presents advises a leader to bring his plans and decisions before the Lord with an open heart for God’s will to prevail. Further, Scazzero writes about Ignatius of Loyola’s concept of indifference. Scazzero explains that Ignatius desired to have a disinterest to all but to the will of God. What I found powerful concerning this information was the freedom that is offered when a person chooses to me solely focused upon loving God. I identified with Scazzero’s comment that people do not like change. Further, I agree with his assertion that folks seek to avoid change at all cost. However, I failed to see how an ending, although sad, can actually be God beginning something new. I have never thought about the concept of an ending can be God beginning something new. Generally, I have tried to avoid ending because I have seen them as an end of thing good; nevertheless, Scazzero emphasis that there cannot be a resurrection without a death. Although I have known this truth, I never connected it with leadership
