So they set out to the island and stay at the only hotel on the island. The island has no electric except for generators, one working phone, and one place to eat. Jacob and his father set out on their first search for birds on a beach and his dad finds what he is looking for. Jacob asks if he can go to the house that his grandfather lived as a kid. His father said as long as you have someone who knows the island take you. So Jacob discovers a boy in a fish workshop to take him. But the boy later leaves Jacob halfway to the house. Jacob stumbles upon the house and sees that it is abandoned he explores the house and finds nothing and is very sad. But he does not give up, he continues going daily.
