Brief Summary Of Code Name Maine

Code Name Verity is a story about two pilots in 1943 during World War Two. One pilot, her code name Verity, is parachuted over Nazi Germany and is captured by Nazi soldiers called Gestapo and taken to an abandoned hotel that serves as a prison. Verity is forced to write down secret codes she knows which tell where British airfields are located. In exchange she receives back articles of clothing that the Gestapo has taken from her. Mattie, code named Kittyhawk, is the pilot of the plane Verity had parachuted out of. Mattie’s plane had crashed and she stayed with the secret Resistance for safety. Verity was on her way to a concentration camp when the Secret Resistance was trying to save people from going to the camps. In the Resistance group was Mattie, and one of the prisoners was Verity. In an effort to make sure the Gestapo wasn’t getting anymore codes, Mattie shot Verity to save the lives of people in the British Air Force.

I don't like that part because of the violence or shooting, I liked it because even though Maddie and Verity were friends, Maddie was willing to take the life of another to save others. I think that that move was very brave and special because many regular people wouldn’t do that because they imagine it being scary, which it is, but it shows how much Maddie cares for the protection of the English forces. This was also the turning point, leading up to it was the Gestapo taking prisoners, including Verity, to concentration camps.
