EARLY INFLUENCES: When Amanda was a little girl her parents took on a car dealer shop and it was very rough on them, it took all their money cause things went bad. Well then the car dealer shop caught on fire, and so her dad put up a trailer across the street and sold the cars that weren’t damaged to show that he wasn’t going to give up. Well Amanda’s father is the one who inspired her to never give up and achieve the goals she has set for her self. So Amanda made her own food company by first working at a restaurant then writing story’s about it and then got profit off her books and turned that into her own business with books and a restaurant …show more content…
She and her brother and sisters went crabbing, picked blueberries in the woods and wild asparagus. Before she and Merrill started Food52, Amanda cooked in Europe and got her first "real job" as a Feature Writer and Food Editor at The New York Times. Her mom being the great cook she was inspired her to be just like that. Her and her brothers and sister always loved to help their mom cook. Well Amanda was the only one to take it serious. And look where she is now, she wrote over 100 books, she has her own food company.
BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: her biggest accomplishment was that she made her carrier come this far, she never expected it to go this far. She got her first real job and didn’t come to think that it would take her to having her own business.
WHAT IS SHE DOING NOW: Amanda is still writing some books, but she is also still proceeding with her business. Her business has gotten lots of profit and she has sold lots of her book.
WHAT IS HER LEGACY: Amanda’s legacy is to give advice to other story writers based on what there writing
