When I graduate from Logan Senior High School, I intend to apply and take classes at BridgeValley Community and Technical College. To get into the nursing program at BridgeValley, a student must first be a high school graduate or have a General Educational Development (GED). They will also have had to achieve a 3.0 or above grade point average (GPA) in their high school courses. The student will then have to take a pre-nursing admission exam. They will need to make at least a composite score of 60.5 on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) VI. They will need to make sure their background and drug screen requirements are met. Any student with a background check or drug screen violation will not be allowed in the nursing program. Whenever the student sends in their application at BridgeValley for the nursing program, they need to be sure to send in their high school transcript and TEAS score as well.
The average tuition for BridgeValley Community and Technical College is around $4,326 if the student lives in West Virginia and $180 each course hour they attend. If they are not a West Virginia resident, the tuition is about $9,620 and $429 per course hour. For the nursing program at BridgeValley, the student will have to pay $200 each semester.
