Organizational culture is the shared values and patterns of belief or behavior are promoted by member of an organization. The culture at Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is adaptive to promote a premier place to work culture. Since the company is global in nature, several subcultures exist that are country specific. For example, Bridgestone Americas, Inc is the United States subsidiary of the Bridgestone Corporation. The cultures between the United States and Japan are vastly different. In the United States, we greet co-workers typical on a first name basis. However, in Japan, you greet a co-work by their last name followed by san.
