Bridge To Terabithia Comparison

For some people Freak The Mighty, and Bridge to Terabithia are very different, which they are, but the author shows us that they can both be alike. One is a novel about a boy who has morquio syndrome whose named Kevin, and he meets a tall boy named Max, and all they want to do is adventure. The other novel is about a boy who is very dedicated to running, and one day he meets a girl named Leslie, and together they go off to create another world called Terabithia. However, both stories share a similar theme which is that if you spend all of the time you have with the people you love, you will never forget them when they are gone. In Freak the Mighty, Max learns that if you spend all of the time you have with the people you love, you will never forget them when they are gone. In the beginning of the book Jesse loved running, and would run every day at recess. Then, a new girl named Leslie who recently joined the school wanted to join the race, so all of the boys let her because they thought she couldn’t beat them, and she came out and beat all of them. At first, however, Jesse and Leslie were straight up enemies, but eventually like Max and Kevin became friends. Together they went off, and adventured, and eventually built a world called Terabithia. However, towards the middle of the story Leslie was in Terabithia alone, and was swinging on a swing, that was very high up in the trees, fell off, and she unfortunately died. Just like Max with Kevin, Jesse could not forget how important Leslie was to him.
