Trying to be as creative as I could be in such a small amount of time, I used my stencils to spell out “Bridge to Terabithia.” Then, I began to color in the letters with bold and exciting colors that would jump off the page to my classmates when I presented the board. I then went onto my computer to print off a picture of a bridge to use as an example for my illustration. The novel is based on two students who become friends after the new girl, Leslie, moves next door to the main character, Jess. The two created a world of fantasy in the woods near their house and they ended up visiting their new world every day after school. In disbelief, I peeked out of the kitchen window to see a white blanket covering my entire backyard. All I could think was how irritated I was due to spending all of the early morning hours forcing myself to stay awake in order to complete this project. All in all, I believe that I learned my lesson of procrastinating on an important project since I could be spending my snow day with friends instead of catching up on much needed
