The contents in this movie were being chosen and some were cut out due to the limited time displaying. It surely would bring confusion because not every single person on this world knows about the U-2 incident, the spies, and the exchange. The timeline movement might be fast. Throughout the movie, they did not mention how CIA was be able to track and find Abel. You would not even sure he was a Soviet spy until later on. However, all movies have limited time. In 142 minutes, of course, the movie could not tell us everything in detail. But we can see that each one of the events had been chosen carefully as Steven Spielberg wanted us to focus on Donovan’s negotiation. Argo by Ben Affleck is the similar movie of this historical, thrilling, and drama film. The two were base on real events in which the main characters tried to help the American that were captured in another countries. However, Bridge of Spies is not only showing us the historical facts but also the another side of war. There was some form of friendship that was built between Abel and Donovan which was unacceptable at that time. And with the great names such as Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance, they portraited a nice picture inside of the hateness of Cold

"Wanted" is basically from a comic book that has limited series written by Mark Miller and J.G Jones, it is about an amoral protagonist (Wesley Gibson) who is discovered as the heir of super assassin. Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, he is the cream of the crop, he turns this comic into a movie that make the viewers not sit still and make their adrenaline and cortisone levels spike with the actions. Bekmambetov used the similar style of shots and angles with his previous movie, Night watch. It's more to wide angle (long shot), so we can see the terrifying background like one of the scenes in the torture room, where Wes has been beaten up by the butcher. Not even that, there are many special effects that Bekmambetov applies in this movie, like slow-motion with sound effects that certainly provides that "ouch" reaction from audiences.…

Few movies are sought fit for a remake, but in the case of The Manchurian Candidate (1962), it presented an opportunity to update this classic political thriller into modern times. Producing a remake also presents the risk of losing the original message altogether. Both films begin with an American soldier who is essentially brainwashed into becoming an assassin utilized by his own political family, more specifically his mother, to infiltrate the presidency of America. Behind the brainwashing is the most feared villains of the time, communists in 1962 and multinational corporate interest in 2004. The basic plot takes viewers through a curvy road of uncertainty in what the outcome of the film will be or where the film will take them next.…

Published in 1956 by Philip K. Dick, Minority Report has made itself quite a name. After being adapted several times the one that stuck out the most was the film Minority Report directed by Steven Spielberg in 2002. The film took a radical approach, as shown by the change in plotlines and major characters. First of all, major plot points were different in the film than they were in the story, For example, Anderton is supposed to kill a man named Leopold Kaplan, but in the film, the man is named Leo Crow. Although this seems like a small change, the difference between the two is huge.…

    A. What reasons do your authors give to explain the historical inaccuracies in the films? All historical movies are of peoples interpretations of the events, or if it was written from someone who were there at the time of the event it's still based off of what they seen or remember. Things can get lost in interpretation but director's I feel do try to stick to the best of there knowledge while maintaining a film that would be popular in ratings. Like James Cameron who written, directed, co-produced, and co-edited the film in 1997 of The historical event the Titanic which sunk in 1912. The movie was a great film with some inaccuracies but a nice story line to follow along with two fictional characters Jack Dawson and Rose Dewitt Bukater.…

The movie industry for many years has tried to revive, recreate history’s most brutal and gory war it has ever seen. People who had fought in the war say that whatever they experienced in actual war cannot be remade, yet film makers create possible scenarios of war similar to the actual ones. Movies such as Pearl Harbor. Red Tails, alone in Berlin, Saving Private Ryan, and Hacksaw Ridge provide situations during World War Two that were very similar to reality. To start off, Pearl Harbor gives us the famous scene in which most of us students can only imagine how pearl harbor on December 7, 1941.…
