This is a problem that not only happens to homosexual couples, but also to heterosexual couples. Kimmel (2015) states “our culture is far more willing to turn a blind eye to sexual than to romantic relationships among same-sex partners” (p. 113). This movie may contain some scenes that could trigger some deep emotions, since it talks about the death of a loved one, from a same-sex relationship and trying to move on his life by living for his boyfriend’s namesake. Be prepared to be asked questions about “why would anyone turn their backs on someone,” or “why didn’t Shane fight back with Tom’s family about him not being there at the funeral ceremony.” From watching Bridegroom, there hasn’t been a point where I would feel that this movie isn’t the best documentary to show in this
