SETUP SCENE 1:
INT. BRIAN’S BACKYARD—AFTERNOON
Brian, Brian’s fifteen-year-old sister, ANNIE, and Allen are playing Monkey in the Middle Frisbee, with Annie in the middle. Annie notices Allen’s skateboard leaning against the side of the house and asks if she can ride it out in the street. Allen says yes but tells her to be careful because his trucks are very loose.
SETUP SCENE 2:
EXT. STREET—AFTERNOON
Brian and Allen watch as Annie attempts to ride the skateboard up and down the street, warning her not to stray away their small avenue. Annie laughs at their concerns and impulsively rides the skateboard over to the main road adjacent to them, while Allen and Brian yell her name and trail behind. Being inexperienced in skating, Annie does not

BRIAN’S KITCHEN—AFTERNOON
Annie sits on the kitchen counter as Allen cleans her wounded elbow. Brian watches and berates Annie for having disobeyed them and caused Brian’s skateboard to get run over. Annie apologizes to Allen, saying that she will pay him for the broken skateboard. Allen says that it’s okay and tells her not to worry about it, its more important that she’s safe.

ALLEN’S LIVING ROOM—EVENING
Allen enters the house and sees his mother, sitting, photo albums sprawled across the floor, and ripping up Allen’s childhood photos. Upon seeing Allen, Clara explodes in a fit of rage. She comments on Allen having ruined the funeral just as he ruined the family. Allen tries to control his anger and calmly take the pictures out of his mother’s hands, to which she reacts by sternly ordering him to get away from her. Allen looses his temper and curses at her and storms upstairs.

RESOLUTION SCENE 1:
INT. MOM’S ROOM—EVENING
Allen begins punching his mother’s unbroken walls in. He smashes the family photo on her night stand and kicks at the door.
RESOLUTION SCENE 2:
INT. HALLWAY—EVENING
Allen walks from his Mom’s room to his room.
RESOLUTION SCENE 3:
INT. ALLEN’S ROOM--EVENING
Allen slams his door shut. He collapses onto his bed and stares up at the ceiling, looking exhausted and
