The story is about a thirteen- year- old boy named Brian Robeson from New York who is flying from Hampton, New York to Canada to spend the summer with his father. His parents recently got divorced, which is very upsetting to him. Brian keeps blaming his mother for the divorce , because he saw his mother with another man in the car, which make him think , his mom is the reason for his parent’s splitting up. His mother drops him off at a private airport to visit his father. During the flight, Brian is the only passenger on a small plane, and the pilot is the only other person on the plane.
