When asked which character I most identify with in the 1980’s film, The Breakfast Club, I can only think of one character that comes to mind -- Brian Johnson. Brian Johnson is portrayed by Anthony Michael Hall in the movie. The Breakfast Club is about a group of students that go to detention on a Saturday morning. Many people can relate to a movie character or a book character in some way or another. People may relate to a character through their appearance, others may relate through their personality. I can relate to Jess Bhamra from Bend It Like Beckam because we both like to play soccer, but we haven’t played on a team before, both of our dads are overprotective, and our sisters can both be trusted with secrets that we tell them. The first way I can relate to Jess is in that we both play soccer, but not on an actual team. In the movie, Jess plays soccer in the park with some boys that are close to her family.…

The past plays a vital role in one’s development by demonstrating a person’s identity in society. Flowers For Algernon by Daniel Keyes shows how the protagonist, Charlie Gordon, tries to change the way he is viewed in society from a mentally incapacitated individual to having a highly developed, profound mind. Give more background: An example of this is revealed after he speaks to Alice Kinnian and feels slightly rejected and says: “One of the things that confuses me is never really knowing when something comes up from my past, (…) I’m like a man who’s been half-asleep all his life, trying to find out what he was like before he woke up” (Keyes, 77). Through this observation the reader can see what Charlie Gordon is going through as his past…

Vic can be interpreted as outgoing and wanting to be where the action is, seeing as he made it a mission to go to Allison’s party. In personality terms, I also love being social and interacting with many people. When I first came to college, I made it a goal to be very involved and do as much as a can.…

As far as movies go Apocalypse Now is at the very top of my list pertaining to favorite movies; although Robert Duvall performance as LtCol Kilgore may only last but a few moments, his portal of the character for me is one of the most enjoyable parts of the movie. Duvall has a history of both appearing in movies as supporting roles and delivering a performance that somehow always seems to stand out as one if not the most memorable scenes of each movie. Apocalypse Now is no exception to this rule! His role in this movie as LtCol Kilgore is prodigious, Duvall does an exception job of capturing the essence of his character.…
