My author is Bret Ellis he was born on March 7th, 1964 in
Los Angeles California. The author like most writers have their own trademark when they write according to IMDb Ellis’s are “Narcissistic characters, offen reuses or references characters and long descriptive paragraphs in which discuss meaningless or unimportant events and objects”(Biography). Ellis’s trademarks make his books very memorable, unique and exciting to read. Ellis’s father was a property developing director which let the future writer live a very nice life. In Ellis’s case it was his emotions. According to an interview on SABOTAGE TIMES Elis was asked of his emotions affected what he wrote and he responded “Completely”(SABOTAGE TIMES). This means whatever he is writing, how the book furns put it is because the author is felling a certain emotion at that very moment in the story. The sexuality of the writer is confusing. Some would say he is gay or bie, everyone has an optician. According to BRET EASTON Biography “Bret Easton Ellis is known to be gay, and Michael Wade Kaplan, to whom he dedicated the book “Lunar Park”, was his lover. However, he does not identify himself as gay or straight” (BRET EASTON Biography). What this goes to show is that he is does not belong to a specific sexuality. This book was banned for its inappropriate content that includes campbellism, sexual content and murder. The killer describes the the sexual scenes, for example bateman had sex with two prostitutes and the different positions they took part in. It goes on to say that they were very sweaty after and it was money well spent. Cannibalism is another theme in this already colorful book. Bateman dismembers his victims and makes meals out their body parts. He enjoys the well prepared flesh as if it was the world's most succulent dish. Murder is one of the last themes in this book that make it banned. As a serial killer Bateman kills people and in a terrifying way to. There was a part in the book were mutilates a homeless man by shoving his knife into his eyes stabbing his in the chest and then then breaking his jaw while ripping the eyeball out with his other
