Breathing Exercise Analysis

Previously I have used both breathing exercises and progressive muscle relaxation to fall asleep easier and attempt to relieve some stress. Before both attempts of these relaxation exercises, I was at yoga so my body was already very relaxed. Neither of the exercises were difficult for me but I struggle more with concentrating during PMR. In both sessions of the breathing exercises, I was able to get deeply into my headspace and feel free of stress or anything else. The first session of PMR was harder than the second session because I was not as focused. The first session of the PMR left me still feeling kind of stressed while the second session of the PMR I was able to fully let go of everything. The position in which I was sitting changed the entire experience of PMR for me. The first session, I did not have my feet on the ground but I did have my feet on the ground in the second session. After both of my breathing exercises, the stress level was at about a 2. I think my stress level stayed the same because I am good at breathing exercises so any stress I had mainly went away. My stress level was still higher than 0 because I had homework and other things to worry about. After the first PMR session, I rated my stress level at around a 5. After the PMR, I still felt a lot more stress than I had after the breathing exercise. After the second session of PMR, I rated my stress levels at around a 3. I think my scores decreased because I was in an uncomfortable position and I did not have my feet planted on the floor. I am use to doing PMR as a strategy to fall asleep so method of doing it was a little different for

Anaerobic and aerobic exercise were determined to effectively influence muscle oxygen uptake at the cellular level. Evaluating and measuring the effectiveness of the two types of exercise on oxygen uptake would inform the advantages and disadvantages they have on muscles. Significant amounts of oxygen are consumed by the human muscles when moderate intensity aerobic work is performed. Contradictorily, anaerobic exercise causes the body to break down stored glycogen in muscles for energy.
