Mammograms, ultrasounds, x-rays, and MRIs have helped women with breast cancer since 1895 (x-ray) 1956 (ultrasound) 1977 (MRI), and 1992 (mammogram). They have all been very beneficial to women. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women. About one of three cancers are diagnosed. Cancer is a group of diseases that cause cells in the body to change and grow out of control. Most cancers will form a lump or mass in the breast, which is called a tumor. It is named after a part of the body where the tumor originates. Breast cancer begins in the breast tissue that is made up of glands for milk productions, called lobules and that ducts that connect the lobules to the nipple. in 2013 women less than 40 had 1,020 deaths and women 65 and older has 22,870 deaths from breast cancer. The was mammograms, ultrasound, MRIs, and x-rays work. How all of them are beneficial for women who have breast cancer. Personally I think mammograms are helping women out a lot. Ultrasounds, MRIs, and x-rays are a big part in examining breast cancer.

Search Story The reason I chose this topic is because I want to help women prevent cancer, catch it early so the doctors can remove the tumor entirely, and not have a problem trying to remove it. My expectations going into this research is that I will learn a lot about mammograms, and I will be prepared when I am 40 and have to get my mammogram.
