My paternal grandmother has batteld cancer three times. She was diagnosed with breast cancer first and then six years later with ovarian cancer. Both times, she had to have radiation to cure her from the cancer. After four years of being in remission, the cancer came back. This time it was on a viscous rampage. My grandmother had to receive a month of intense chemotherapy and two critical surgeries to remove the tumors that were invading her body. Seeing her go through all of this made me concerned about my own health. What is cancer? Cancer is a disease where abnormal growth of cells that divide rapidly and may invade other healthy tissues in the body. Studies have shown about every one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their life. The key to overcoming any illness is knowledge. By taking early action such as genetic testing and implementing key lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise, alcohol, lowering one 's BMI, a person can potentially

That is right aluminum. The same aluminum found every day products such as soda cans, pots and pans, and computers. Aluminum-based compounds are often used as the active ingredient in many of the deodorants women use today. These compounds may form a temporary plug inside of the sweat duct and prohibit the flow of sweat to the skin 's surface. Some research suggests that these compounds may be absorbed by the skin and cause estrogen-like effects which can increase one 's risk for breast cancer. Often times one only wants to think about cancer when it if effecting us or someone close. This can happen to anyone at any age. Being aware of the risks and being proactive, could potentially save a life. Talking with your physician and making these easy lifestyle changes could be the key to better health and confidence.
