How great it is to give advice to friends that are going through cancer. Marcella Pittman was a brave lady. Ms. Pittman was a very tall lady with hazel eyes and short black hair. She was married to her husband for over 50 years. Ms. Pittman had two children, Mary and Greg. Her profession was a school teacher for over 30 years at Sylvania Williams Elementary School. She taught Math and after teaching there she was named Principal. As a principal, she was very intelligent and energetic. Marcella was a great teacher and fighter for the education of students. She has been an inspiration to both faculty and students. Many look up to Marcella as a mentor and admire her strength and her courage both in the work-place and in her personal life. Everyone on the council was pleased with her and the way she always was volunteered to cook for meetings. She was an excellent advisor to the students and teachers.
I found Marcella Pittman’s medical experience and recommendations given to a person with cancer heroic. I say this because I am a survivor. Marcella was a survivor for many years. She would tell you what the do’s and don’ts to prevent cancer from returning. The first thing is to don’t stress about anything. When you began to worry about something, the cancer will return and then the treatment will be longer. Marcella would go to the casino just to relax and not let nothing bother her. She would say, “Honey, no one is going to work on my nerves today. Stress is a number one killer and I am not ready to die.” Marcella was told by her doctor that she would need to stop smoking. Marcella did not believe the doctor. She could not be out from work a long time for cancer. Marcella said that the nurse told her “You need to get Dove soap and deodorant because it is safer to use after surgery.” Marcella replied “why can’t I use what I normally
