I began to notice breakouts on my face by the age of fourteen. This is when your hormones start to because more adamant, and you change into your young teenage self. I went to my first dermatologist that a friend had recommended. This male dermatologist would give me a facial about every two weeks. He would steam my face, and then use harsh utensils to extract the “grossness” out of my pores. He would then follow with microdermabrasion and the bacteria “zapper”. I went to him for a while, but didn’t see the results I really wanted. I decided to stick with him for a good amount of time because I figured maybe my skin needed time to get used to his regimen.
At this time, my acne was not horrible. I would have big cyst breakouts on my chin because of my hormones, and some whiteheads on my forehead. Because I was younger in my early years of high school, I would not wear that much makeup. But, the little curious kid in me decided to steal my moms Clinique powder foundation, and try to be “more adult like” by using her makeup. That is when I noticed the major breakouts flaring up on my skin. At the time, I was not aware of how much love and care your skin needs. The dirt and makeup from the day needs to be washed and your skin needs to be toned, and moisturized. So, the freshman from high school didn’t like the acne appearing on her face. So,

For a while, I used the Aveeno’s Ultra Calming Foam face wash. This seemed to calm my skin and keep it happy. But, after my skin had become immune to the product, I began to use Neutrogena’s Stress Control face wash. After jumping around from one product to another, I could not keep my acne under control. Also, because I was a young teen, I also had my hormones to deal with. In addition, because of how self conscious I felt, I kept adding on more makeup just to cover my acne, and added more and more dirt and makeup into my pores, causing more
