To how he has conjured this barrier and how he is all black pride all the way and that there is nothing that can’t be done. (64)
Tone: The tone of “The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain” is very specific for it first starts off about how theses black people want to be white and that makes you sad that they don’t want to be themselves but then it turns into a speech about how we as a black community need to be real and to know who we are because we may be different but that’s not a bad thing. Assumptions: The author Langston Hughes has a particular bias because he is coming at a point of view of how he already conquered this barrier which is not bad because it shows how he got through it. However, there can be many other points of views such as the black people who know what they have to do but don’t want to do it, the blacks who have already started the journey and are in the middle of it, and the blacks who failed to conquer this challenge. There are many other opinions that are not seen here.
