I chose the song "Break Up In A Small Town" because it accurately describes my life. About 6 months ago, my boyfriend and I broke up. Once we broke up I started talking to one of his friends, but not out of spite. We seemed very compatible and liked each other very much. I actually started listening to this song during the mess, and told everyone that the song described my life perfectly. I would say this song would be in my ex boyfriend's

I choose the songs “Walkin’ After Midnight” by Patsy Cline (1957), “Darkest Valley” by Group 1 Crew (2012), and “Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been” by Relient K (2004). I choose these three pieces because they are all something that I listen to regularly and they demonstrate a variety of styles in music. Patsy Cline was an iconic female country singer that won awards at the Deejay Convention, won Billboard’s “Most Promising Country & Western Female Artist,” and Music Vendor’s “Greatest Achievement in Records” all just for “Walking After Midnight” (Jones, 1994, p. 159). “Walkin’ After Midnight” music was written by Alan Block and the lyrics were written by Don Hecht ("Walkin' After Midnight." Second Hand Songs - A Cover Songs Database.).…

Segregation make Crooks lonely, which in turn makes him an unpleasant individual. For example, since Crooks is of African descent, he is considered inferior to the others and is forced to live away from everyone else and he shares with Lennie “I aint wanted in the bunk house cause I am black” (68). The segregation between the ranchers and Crooks isolates him from them causing a deep loneliness within him. Crooks also states that “guy gets too lonely an’ he gets sick” (73) this sickness Crooks describes is the lack of humanity and cruelty in Ranchers because of the loneliness. Crooks’s actions to other characters in this story are a direct representation of him being transformed into a unpleasant individual.…

“Morning Morgantown” by Joni MItchells Lyrics that explain how a teen views the day? What more could someone want?! Joni Mitchell’s song, “Morning Morgantown” goes further with not only insight on a teenager’s point of view, but also proficiently made a song with a sweet melody and harmony, and musings of Joni’s own days as a teenager. I chose to use “Morning Morgantown” because I appreciate the artist Joni Mitchell, and think that this song is still relatable. Joni Mitchell has never specified where the inspiration for her song, “Morning Morgantown” came from but it has been speculated that it was written about Morgantown WV, because this town seems so sleepy and quiet.…

The song I chose is “Surfin’ U.S.A.”, is characterized by the Beach Boys. I chose this song because of how laid back the tune sounds and makes me want to relax. It’s relaxing because the song reminds me of the beach and the sounds of the waves. In the song it talks about how they will be gone for the summer and to tell the teacher they have gone surfing. The summer always reminds me of the beach and all the surfers in the water.…

When it comes down to the songs that will play in the movie of my life, these songs would be dramatic. Every song would have a different meaning, and more attention, destruct and love in it than the last. There are certain songs that are more committed to a certain time or event that has happened. Some are due to it being the song we sang when at the time, some being the lyrics that stuck years later yet most are because of the feeling when the song is first heard. Going as far back that I can remember, most of the songs that I would hear would be on the car rides to school or camp.…
