Another Latin America country, which I am researching, is Brazil. Traditionally, agriculture is one of the major industries for the Brazilian society. Brazil produces such goods as cattle, coffee, cotton, corn, rice, soy, tobacco, beans, fruits, vegetables. During the period from 1937 to 1945, Brazil was so successful in terms of agro-production, that it was called a breadbasket of the world.
The thing is that Brazil has a world’s largest arable land area- 76 million hectares. Despite the contribution into the GDP is only 4.5%, Brazil is very efficient in terms of agriculture.
