Defining a character in a story takes learning the characters traits and views on different parts of the story. In the stories we’ve read, common traits for the characters are bravery and romance.

What is bravery? The definition of bravery is "Courageous behavior or character", but it's deeper than that. Bravery isn't a skill you inherit from your parents, it is something you learn and acquire through your actions. Through the stories we can see that there are multiple examples of bravery. In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight we see in lines 2274 "I moved not a muscle when you made to strike," After this, Gawain replies (lines 2280-2283) "Strike once more; I shall neither flinch nor flee; But it my head falls to the floor There is no mending
