Becky’s motivation to do this was because she was running the picnic and wanted to have fun by exploring and be free. This was also an example of bravery because they decided to do their own thing, even though it would be tough to get back. This ended up having a negative aspect because of the fact that they almost died. Another representation of bravery was when Tom and Huck went to look for buried treasure. They looked under multiple trees but couldn't find anything. They then decided to look in the haunted house. But Huck then remembered it was a Friday “an unlucky day”, so they decided to go back the next day. They met at the same place at the same time. After they had a brief smoke, they went to the haunted house. They first examined the first floor and then went up to the second. Just as they were about to go back down, Injun Joe and another man went through the door. They were also looking for treasure.
