'Bravery In Break Of Day'

In the novel Break of Day, Palmer includes multiple scenarios including:
Death, Bravery and Family. Palmer argues that Death is real and at some point, we have to face it, Palmer also argues that Bravery can occur at different times for people and that family protects each other and they are loyal.

Death is something that we all have to face in life, It could be a friend, it could be a pet, maybe even a family member. In the novel, Murray comes across death multiple times like when his brother Will had to kill Paddy after killing 3 of the Father's sheep. Death had also occurred when Murray’s Uncle died: “My Uncles breathing became thinner and drier until eventually it stopped” and Murray’s Father had experienced death when he had found 3 dead sheep that were murdered by Paddy . The Author, Tony Palmer has included multiple deaths in the novel that tells the reader that death is real and it could happen at any time. Murray has come across a few situations where he wasn't very brave but other times he was brave. At the cricket game when Sid had hit the ball at murray and Murray accidentally punched Will trying to hit Sid, had run off instead of staying and apologizing which wasn’t very brave. When Will was about to shoot Sid for stealing Ada from him Murray stepped in and stopped Will after all the things that Sid had done to him which was pretty brave for Murray. Ada was also brave in the novel when her Dad was drunk, she would keep an eye on him and look after her brothers and sisters.
