Eliminating emotions takes away sadness. In the book Brave New World it states, ”Anyhow, she was publicly proving her unfaithfulness to Henry. Fanny ought to be pleased even though it was Bernard.” (Huxley, 58). Bernard is upset about how Lenina put their business out there. Bernard also feels uncomfortable about what Lenina says because they guys’ she had sex with are present. In the book it states, “Ones got to play the game. The controller makes them think that having parents would bring emotions of love or un-happiness too. If you had parents they would give you rules that you would have to obey and maybe you would not like some of their rules; then you and your parents might argue which causes anger. The book states, “Twelve of them separate identities in a larger being.” (Huxley, 80). The Solidarity Service’s purpose was to make everyone be one. Instead of having parents they have the Solidarity Service, which does not make them feel emotions. The World State would be a better community if one had feelings because genetically they are all related.
It is better that the World State eliminates emotions because girls are dramatic and very emotional. Boys are rude and obnoxious. If emotions were not there then girls and boys would get along better. Emotions take control over ones mind. If they were gone no one would get
