Brantley Analysis

Improved Essays
Brantley keeps his message consistent and keeps it real with his fans and himself, he has a big fan base and many people love to go and see him in concert and follow and comment back on his posts on social medias. Brantley also does a good job at promoting himself and keeping himself up to date on his websites for his fans; keeping fans and BG nation up to date with what he does off stage as well. Also when his concerts are just around the corner or when he is gonna be in a certain state and promoting his concert there. Brantley definitely does a good job at keeping all his websites up to date with what he is doing no matter how busy he could get. He always makes time to let his fans and BG nation know what he is doing away from the stage and on stage. …show more content…
Brantley has good credibility because he keeps it real with everybody all the time and wants fans to take him ‘just as I am’ and not who other people want him to be. Brantley hits his fans and BG nation hard with emotions in most of his songs and pictures and videos of him performing them because his fans and BG nation can connect to brantley on a more realistic level with his music. Brantley is decent on logic on all his pages, he tries to let the music and the pictures speak for themselves instead of what everyone else wants them to be, he keeps a good logic on his pages by keeping fans up to date with concert dates and when he will be nearby you or coming to your town. But Brantley could also tell his fans a little more about him on his fan base page and how he got into music and what all sparked the fire to get him to use his own original music and connect to his fans and BG nation on a more personal

Response on Dave Barry’s “Batting Clean-Up and Striking Out” Glancing around my bedroom, I observe clean floors and homework assignments sprawled out on the table as my jumbled written thoughts are on the brink of being thrown away. My collection of books is lined up neatly on a shelf along with the stuffed animals my grown-up self does not play with anymore. I can hear down the stairs and I listen to the television playing the Cleveland Brown’s football game and the microwave signaling the finished result of the leftover brisket that was in the refrigerator. In Dave Barry’s essay, “Batting Clean-Up and Striking Out,” he explains that the majority of women fasten their focus on the unimportant aspects of life such as cleaning; yet through the…

Jared Korotzer Professor Grady Writing 1 31 October 2014 For School In John Taylor Gatto’s essay, “Against School,” Gatto draws on his extensive experience as a teacher to argue that the American public education system does not exist to make students their personal best, but rather aims to create a large, manipulable work force incapable of challenging its government. This, he argues, is achieved by forcing authority on students from a young age, and then proceeding to breed each student for his or her specific role in society. While “Against School” does present an intriguing view of the modern education system, Gatto severely underestimates the value of the academic and social skills students learn by attending school.…

The album Time Out was recorded in 1959 by The Dave Brubeck Quartet. The quartet featured Dave Brubeck on piano, Paul Desmond on alto saxophone, Eugene Wright on bass, and Joe Morello on drums. Dave Brubeck was not known for his outstanding musicianship like that of Paul Desmond, Brubeck was well known as a composer and bandleader. Paul Desmond was the best musician in The Dave Brubeck Quartet and he brought his soft, melodic, and imaginative style to the band. Desmond was one of the best known west coast alto saxophonists of the time and his contributions can be vividly heard on the album Time Out.…

The New York City Teacher of the Year, John Gatto, argues in “Against School- How public education cripples our kids today, and why” that the school system is taking advantage of the students mind. Gatto states that not everyone has to go to school in order to be successful, but the school system is enforcing that everyone must go to school. Education can be accomplished anywhere, according to Gatto, but schooling is tearing down peoples ability to think, also “dumbing down” society. John Gatto argues in “Against School-…

For the 2016 Presidential Election, there are many non-political figures competing in the presidential race such as Donald Trump and Ben Carson. Recently, current actor and semi-retired professional wrestler, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has told the public that he will be running for President in 2016. Johnson was born in Hayward, California and grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (HollowVerse). Johnson is among the few African Americans who have registered as a Republican in recent elections, however, he is politically ambiguous, having registered as an Independent at least once and attended the Democratic National Convention in 2000 (HollowVerse). Gone Home is a narrative exploration game by the company Fullbright that stars Kaitlin Greenbriar returning to her family home after being overseas. Gone Home is often questioned on the complexity of its game play, and is often thought to be more of an interactive story, however it does fulfill the requirements of a game and I will be discussing various game play mechanics in Gone Home such as the different objects and their attributes, rules for game play and the overall design that help to support the narrative, as well as how all of this is used to create an effective story and why this is the best medium for such a story. I will start by giving the briefest of summaries; the game opens with Kaitlin, who we control in a first person perspective, returning home to a locked house all set in the 90s Their is a note left…

Searle uses examples throughout the text to help support his theory that society is socially constructed. He explains what point he is trying to make and then he gives an example of them. This, for the most part, helps convincingly support his arguments. Searle (1997) explains collective intentionality by giving the example of an orchestra.…

    Carr Vs Elton Analysis

The debate between E.H. Carr and G.R. Elton signifies the conflict between the “Old School” of historical studies and the Revisionist model. Carr proposes that there exists within historical studies the need for interpretation, and that there is no such thing as a universalized “truth” or “fact”. This is evocative of the Postmodernist phenomenon to critique and rethink approaches to history, which I will discuss later in this paper. Elton, on the other hand, emphasizes the universal “truth” within historical studies. He insists that there is no such thing as “subjectivity”, and all facts within historical sources are indeed just that – facts.…
