For example, if the judge understands that an accelerant canine is trained to identify only non-pyrolysis, liquid accelerant, scents but the evidence presented by the handler deals with a scent identifying pyrolysis scents then the judge can identify this evidence as unreliable and irrelevant to the case. It is important to collect appropriate evidence with the use of an accelerant canine to avoid potential challenges faced in the legal…

The tail up behavior was excluded because it was too hard to separate the positive behavior from the negative behavior. The researchers assumed someone could tell the difference between positive behavior and negative behavior but unfortunately dogs don’t wag their tails in only in the vertical or horizontal direction. Another limitation is dogs may be like people where everyone has distinct ranges of emotions, and not everyone reacts the same to different…

Argument for Tangible Detriment: The District court improperly granted summary judgment as a reasonable jury could find that Prufrock suffered a tangible detriment when he was denied tutoring and received the worst English grade of his college career after he rejected Crewel 's offer to "take care of things" for him if he was "a good boy".(DEP.) To determine whether plaintiff suffered a tangible detriment, courts consider whether 1) plaintiff suffered a material loss and 2) the loss resulted from plaintiff 's rejection of advances. (Johnson) Courts have defined a material loss as an adverse change to a crucial aspect of the employment or educational experience. See e.g., Bowman v. Shawnee, 220 F.3d 456, 461-462 (6th Cir. 2000);…
