Today, like any day, I step off the yellow school bus, and walk into the fiery gates of hell. The gates just as I remember them, the double doors to Martin Luther King Jr. High School. My nerves on high alert waiting to face all of the creatures that lurk around the halls. Being prepared for all of the hate and nastiness I have to face from my peers. The constant name calling of “whore,” “lesbo,” and “fat dyke,” as I pass my classmates. The only positive constant I have in my life right now is my girlfriend, Brandi Ashford. The love of my life. Brandi makes my crumby life have some well deserved meaning. She helps me find the beauty within myself when I feel low after a long stressful day at school and dealing with my crazed
