Amazon became successful worldwide because the company continues to focus on becoming the company’s world customer value leader. The company aligned its sales strategy to position itself as a customer value leader in providing customer service excellence. One example of how Amazon provides customer service excellence is by giving any customer a hundred percent money back guarantee. After a customer purchased a product, the customer is required to return the product within certain day, in order to provide customer satisfaction. Amazon’s customers feel confident while making a purchase fro the company because they are aware that the company will allow them to return the product with no hassle and with a money back guarantee. Brand awareness increase customer’s knowledge and understanding about the company’s brand. Additionally, brand awareness increase customers, which also helps the company gain long-term opportunities. (Day, Moorman, 2015) Amazon creates brand awareness through social media. Social media includes, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Snapchat. (Cohen, 2015) In order to gain more consumers and to develop long-term relationship with current consumer, the company provides promotions while using different social media sites. Using social media to create brand awareness is necessary for an organization because our society’s obsession with social media. Amazon’s leader/CEO Jeff Bezos is one of the most successful entrepreneur because his main focus was the customers. “The latest results from the American Customer Satisfaction Index reveals Amazon.com as the reigning and undisputed champ in both Internet retailing and across the entire department in overall customer satisfaction.” (Baldacci, 2013) Amazon’s top leader Jeff Bezos took ownership of strategies for customer value proposition. His main strategy is to focus on customer’s satisfaction and positive experience. In order to create a long-term investment and future growth, Jeff Bezos believes understanding and supporting the customer’s needs/want is the most important factors for managing customer value imperatives. For example, Jeff Bezos was aware of the customer’s desire to have a Kindle tablet. Therefore, the tablet was built depending on the customer’s preference or interest. (Baldacci, 2013) Jeff Bezos, made a commitment to focus on the customer’s interests, that will be valuable to the consumers. In addition to understanding the customer’s interests, Jeff Bezos continues to collect information from customers, in order to improve their quality of services. Secondly, Jeff Bezos believes that responding to customer’s concerns/complaints is very important.
